Health Benefits of Kombucha
Kombucha is rich in probiotic bacteria that can help restore balance to your digestive system.
While more studies are needed, current studies suggest kombucha may reduce oxidative stress, a known cause of cancer, and kombucha may help strengthen the immune system.
A 2018 study found that kombucha could significantly reduce blood sugar and hemoglobin A1C levels while increasing insulin sensitivity, which may help prevent the onset of diabetes.

Through bringing balance and diversity to the GI microbiome, probiotics promote a healthy GI system, which promotes optimal digestion and absorption of nutrients, promotes immune wellness, and supports your brain health. Your microbiome digests your food to create additional vitamins and supports the health of cells that line your gut.
-
Polyphenols may help prevent blood clots and help reduce blood sugar levels by preventing damage to beta cells and allowing them to regenerate, while also lowering heart disease risk. Polyphenols may promote brain function, improve digestion, and offer some protection against cancer, though more research is needed.
-
B vitamins, including B6, B12, riboflavin, thiamine, and niacin. B12 help the body create DNA, which supports the brain and nervous system, and helps the body form red blood cells
Vitamin C helps with the growth, development, and repair of all body tissues. It's involved in the formation of collagen, absorption of iron, the proper functioning of the immune system, wound healing, and the maintenance of cartilage, bones, and teeth.
Glucosamine helps increase the body's production of hyaluronic acid, which may help prevent arthritic pain, protect cartilage, tissues, and muscles, and reduce inflammation.
-
Kombucha contains a number of minerals in small amounts, including zinc, copper, iron, manganese, nickel and cobalt. Zinc and copper support immunity and enzymatic reactions, and iron helps hemoglobin carry oxygen within the bloodstream.
-
Acetic, Glucuronic and D-Saccharic Acids are antimicrobial, so they fight bacterial growth and promote detoxification by aiding liver function.
-
Antioxidants are powerful substances that protect your cells by neutralizing free radicals. This can lower your odds of some diseases, including heart disease, cancer and age related macular degeneration.
-
The natural electrolytes in Kombucha help to absorb water into the body, which is useful because lost electrolytes need to be replenished after a sweaty work out, making Kombucha a great option for a post-workout recovery drink.
-
Leucine is a branched chain amino acid that is critical for protein synthesis and muscle repair, regulates blood sugar levels, and stimulates wound healing.
The Gut-Brain Connection
Studies have shown that rebalancing the gut microbiome supports the gut-brain axis by reducing inflammation, which can lead to improved mental wellness. Microbial diversity and balance impacts neurotransmitters made in the gut that send messages to your brain.
Ultimately, drinking kombucha, a fermented beverage with naturally occurring probiotics, may help balance your gut microbiome, resulting in helping you to feel less stressed, to improve your mood, to sharpen your focus, and to increase your energy levels. Both probiotics and prebiotics have been shown to reduce levels of anxiety, stress and depression.

Our Commitment
-
Live Probiotics
Naturally occurring probiotics found in kombucha help balance gut bacteria for a healthy, diverse microbiome, which is closely linked with optimal immune health and with brain health. Good gut = good mood!
-
No Preservatives
Preservatives disrupt your GI microbiome and contribute to inflammation, along with being linked to hypersensitivity, allergies, asthma, and hyperactivity. Kombucha is naturally fermented and does not need harmful preservatives. Yay!
-
Low Sugar
The sugar in kombucha is fermented into fructose, and studies show kombucha may improve insulin sensitivity, helping to prevent diabetes. Kombucha has less sugar than most beverages on the market.
-
Organic Ingredients
Our kombucha is produced in a certified organic facility. Tea leaves are very absorbent, making them more susceptible to soaking up pesticides, which are associated with various health concerns. We are proud to support the organic farming community.
-
Raw
We do not pasteurize our kombucha because it would kill all of the health benefits and amazing, naturally occurring probiotics. Why would we do that? Raw food and fermented foods are alive and provide your body with energy and nutrients. We hope you feel amazing when you drink our very alive, raw kombucha.
-
Gluten Free
Most, if not all, kombucha should be naturally gluten free. However, if it is produced in a facility with gluten containing drinks there could be a risk of cross-contamination. Since our founder has Celiac disease, we were sure to produce our kombucha in a gluten free facility for the ultimate reassurance that our gluten free drinkers are safe!
Why Cans?
We love cans because they are lightweight, portable, and sustainable!
You can take them anywhere safely, including your next outdoor adventure at the beach, park, or pool!
Cans limit kombucha’s exposure to UV light and oxygen, protecting the flavor and health benefits.
Cans require less energy to transport because they are more compact, less breakable, and require less packaging, which saves money on shipping costs.
Last but not least, cans have an average of 68% recycled content, which is better for the environment!
