4 Ways to Enjoy Your Kombucha

If you are like us, you enjoy having a cocktail with friends and family but also value your health and wish to feel good when you wake up. The following cocktails are crafted by my husband, Trevor (he does it for a living), as a spin on classic cocktails we all love. Instead of syrups and heavily sweetened liquors, we have made use of the natural sweetness of kombucha. We hope you enjoy experimenting with your Alive and Well Kombucha. As always, we hope you enjoy these with your friends and family.

Passionflower & Aloe Ranch Water

A classic Ranch Water is made with tequila, Topo Chico, and lime juice. If you are a Ranch Water fan, you are going to love this spin, which includes our Passionflower and Aloe Kombucha. The aloe is refreshing and earthy with a subtle hint of sweetness. This is my new favorite cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Premium Blanco Tequila

  • 0.25 oz Lime Juice

  • 4-6 oz of Passionflower & Aloe Kombucha

  • 2 oz Topo Chico (optional)

Directions:

  • Over ice in a collins glass, add all ingredients and give a quick stir.

  • Garnish with herbs from your garden.

Lavender & Blue Mallow

Bee’s Knees

A traditional Bee’s Knees is made with gin, lemon, and honey. Lavender is always a nice complement to a classic Bee’s Knees.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Premium Floral Gin

  • 0.5 oz Lemon Juice

  • 0.5 oz Honey Syrup (equal parts hot water and honey)

  • 2 oz Lavender & Blue Mallow Kombucha

Directions:

  • In a mixing glass, add gin, lemon juice, and honey syrup

  • Add ice and shake

  • Strain up

  • Top with Alive & Well Kombucha

  • Garnish with fresh herbs or flowers

Palo Santo

Anejo Old Fashioned

We love agave spirits. An Old Fashioned made properly with Anejo Tequila is quite possibly better than the whiskey classic. The woodsy notes of our Palo Santo add a little something extra to this sipper.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Premium Anejo Tequila

  • 0.5 oz Demerara Brown Sugar Syrup (equal parts brown sugar and hot water)

  • Dash of Angostura

  • Dash of Walnut Bitters

  • 2 oz of Palo Santo Kombucha

Directions:

  • In a mixing glass, add Anejo tequila, brown sugar syrup, and bitters

  • Add ice and stir

  • Strain over a large rock

  • Garnish with orange oils

  • Optional: Sub Agave Syrup (equal parts agave and water) for brown sugar syrup

Oak & Coconut

Rum Daquiri

If you ask the purists, there’s possibly nothing better in the sour category, than a classic Daiquiri - Rum, Lime, and Sugar. Our Oak & Coconut Kombucha goes really well with light or dark rum on its own. However, if you fancy a cocktail, try this!

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Light Rum or Aged Rum

  • 0.75 oz Lime Juice

  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup (equal parts sugar and hot water)

  • 2 oz of Alive & Well Oak & Coconut Kombucha

Directions:

  • In a mixing glass, add aged rum, lime juice, and simple syrup

  • Add ice and shake

  • Strain up

  • Top with Alive & Well Kombucha

  • Garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel
